The following child care provider training classes were scheduled this summer by Jane Jones, Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences, LSU AgCenter:

2. Make It Playable, Leesville
3. Character Critters, A Program to Teach Young Children Character, Mansura
4. Being a Child Care Professional, Bunkie, LeCompte, Rapides, Ville Platte
5. Safe Summer Fun in the Sun, Alexandria
6. Positive Guidance, Alexandria, Leesville, Mansura, Ville Platte
7. Discovering Science with Young Children, Leesville, Mansura
8. Working with Parents to Create Partnerships, Mansura, Ville Platte
9. Nutrition and Health for Young Children, Mansura
The interactive classes provide education and hands-on experiences to child care providers and address the areas of a child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth. Each class provides 3 hours of continuing education through the LSU AgCenter and is approved by Louisiana Pathways. Those participating in the classes receive a certificate of participation which includes the class title and Child Development Associate (CDA) Area.
