The February 7th 4-H “!, 2, 3 Snap” Club Meeting began with some 4-H trivia. The club was divided into teams and asked questions about the history of Louisiana 4-H. Layne Langley, 4-H Agent, conducted the game to give the 4-H’ers some background on 4-H not to mention help celebrate it’s Centennial. The winning team was made of William Jewell, Madison Hurst, Devin Barnett, Bailey Dixon, Peyton Higgbotham, and Hannah Dixon.
David Breidenback, Snap Club Leader, reviewed the club’s February assignment – Mardi Gras celebrations and/or Trick Photography. During their snack break, the 4-H’ers were able to vote for their top three favorites. Mr. David then had several 4-H’ers share their assignment and tell more about their photo(s). Those 4-H’ers that captured the most votes by their peers and addressed the club were: Madison Hurst, Hannah Dixon, Devin Barnett, Katie LaCour, and Devyn Pourciau. Mr. David then provided the club with photography “teaching tips”.
The Snap Club then brainstormed places to visit for a “hands on” photography field trip. Before adjourning, the club posed for a group photo.
The next Snap Club meeting will be held on March 20 at the New Roads Branch Library. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 7:45 p.m. Nature photographer and author, Clay Coleman, will be the guest speaker. Anyone interested in photography is welcome to attend this meeting and view his photos.
