(This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position through June 30, 2019. Funding must be available for any continuation of appointment.)

WORK LOCATION: School of Renewable Natural Resources – Aquatic Germplasm and Genetic Resources Center, LSU AgCenter, Baton Rouge, La.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Manage fabrication operations for development of tools and accessories for cryopreservation of germplasm of aquatic species.Fabrication includes additive manufacturing (e.g., 3-D printing) and subtractive manufacturing (e.g. CNC milling or turning).May include design work for such tools and accessories depending on level of experience.Manage operations in the commercial-scale section of the Aquatic Germplasm and Genetic Resources Center.Duties may also include operation of the mobile cryopreservation laboratory for onsite work at fish hatcheries.Manuscript preparation and student worker coordination are also necessary.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: MS in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Engineering, or related scientific field.Applicant must have experience writing scientific manuscripts.Experience with cryopreservation of germplasm from aquatic species is preferred.Experience with fish culture is desirable.
