(Global Network Coordinator)
WORK LOCATION: International Programs, LSU AgCenter, Baton Rouge, La.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Entry level position with emphasis on management of international visiting scientist and scholar programs for talented individual with BS degree minimum, strong interest in international endeavors, and ambition for professional growth.Duties are as follows: Manage all aspects of Visiting Scientist and Scholar Programs (selection process, visas, logistics, administration, communication, work placement, cultural experiences, final presentation, etc.) Communicate with Departments, Faculty, Management about progress. Manage endowed scholar support programs. Manage all funding while adhering to LSU AgCenter rules and regulations. Ensure visiting scholar well-being during program, including offering opportunities to cultivate ties with LSU CoA students. Manage incoming international groups and visitors (itinerary, logistics, communication). Develop relations with international institutions participating in Visiting Scientist and Scholars program. Handle all responsibilities of the program in accordance with Risk Management and Title IX rules and regulations. Gather and evaluate metrics and success stories. Provide relevant information to LSU AgCenter Communications. Manage deadlines, reports, databases of contacts. Create and deliver presentations as needed. Assist to Global Network team in additional tasks as needed
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required.Time and deadline management at the highest level are essential as well as strong Communication skills. Must have the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time, as well as multiple deadlines. Flexibility and problem solving skills necessary. Advanced, pro-active project management approach and team work approach needed. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive safely. Foreign language skills are desirable and some international travel required.
