Postdoctoral Researcher

(This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position, initially for 1.5 years. Extension of appointment is contingent upon availability of funds and satisfactory job performance)

WORK LOCATION: School of Plant, Environmental & Soil Sciences, LSU AgCenter, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The postdoctoral researcher will be in-charge with management and statistical analysis of data collected from multiple soil fertility research studies. The successful candidate will also involve in the planning, design, and implementation of research projects both in the greenhouse and field set-ups. Responsibilities also include conduct literature reviews, data interpretation, and writing of reports and scientific articles.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates with a Ph. D. in Soil Science, Agronomy and related fields are encouraged to apply. The applicant should have demonstrated record of experience in precision farming research, soil and plant chemical analysis, data management and statistical analysis. The candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. The researcher should have communication proficiency and is required to publish and present research results.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
