Tri-State Soybean Forum set for Jan. 5 in Oak Grove

(11/10/17) OAK GROVE, La. — Experts from Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas will present the latest in soybean research at the 2018 Tri-State Soybean Forum to be held Jan. 5 at the Thomas Jason Lingo Community Center in Oak Grove.

Presentations will cover a variety of production topics on current situations and market outlooks for the soybean industry, including updates on the 2018 farm bill, protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) weed resistance, soybean fertility, nematodes in soybeans, tap root decline and redbanded stink bugs.

During the program, retired LSU AgCenter soybean specialist Ron Levy will be recognized for his contributions to the industry and the Tri-State Soybean Association, and the 2018 Tri-State college scholarship recipients from each state will be announced.

The meeting will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and end at noon with lunch provided. No registration fee is required.

The forum is sponsored by the LSU AgCenter, Mississippi State University and the University of Arkansas.

The Thomas Jason Lingo Center is located at 195A Community Road off La. Highway 17 in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
