Electric Pressure cookers are a hot topic in Louisiana – with the kids back in school and the holidays approaching, families are looking for quicker and easier ways to prepare healthy family meals. The workshops, such as the Lunch & Learn at the Rapides Extension Office on Friday, September 8, 2017 provide in depth information on using the new pressure cookers and how the safety mechanisms on the newer models differ from the older models. The workshops also provide tips and tricks about the various models on the market and the different sizes that can be found. Recipes for healthy family meals are also provided along with food tastings and ample time for questions.
