The annual Rapides Parish 4-H Fall Food Festival was held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Alexandria Mall. The purpose for this contest is for 4-H members to engage in the enjoyment of friendly competition and meet other 4-Hers throughout the parish while learning various educational aspects in reference to determining the nutritional value of food, cooking principles, and the usage and value of Louisiana commodity products. Please note that this will be the only food competition for Rapides Parish this school year. Champions for this cooking competition will have the option to compete in the District Cookery Contest to be held March 28, 2016 at the State Evacuation Shelter.
