Assumption Parish 4-H'ers Participate at 2016 4-H University

4-H University was held June 21-24, 2016. More than 1,500 students participated, which was held over three days on the LSU campus. The students participated in 43 contests, 12 Clover College educational tracks or other educational programs.

Contests represented areas such as agricultural product demonstration, computer simulation, insect identification and wildlife habitat judging.

Assumption parish was represented very well. The following is a list of 4-H’ers and their contest:

Agricultural Demonstration – Kelsey Gros & Jacelynn LeBlanc

ATV-Lizzye LeBlanc Blue Ribbon & Taylor Martin State Winner

Child Development – Micah Daggs Blue Ribbon

Consumer Food Judging – Hope Bourg, Hailey Domingue, Quinn Richard, & Haley Sullivan

Family & Consumer Science Demonstration – Grace Naquin & Kate Thibodeaux Blue Ribbon

Outdoor Skills – Jonathon Burns & Grant Dupaty

Poultry Judging – Wesley Adolph State Winner Individual, Madelyn Fernandez, Shawna Parker, & Ben Woods State Winner Team
