If your gift list is like mine, you have a few people on it who are hard to surprise. Each year I agonize over a few on my list and spend hours trying to find the perfect gift that makes their eyes light up. The perfect gift is not about how much it costs, but how well chosen it is for the person who receives it.
As the holidays approach, we all get caught up in long to-do lists and what once was fun becomes work. That added pressure can make us miss out on what is truly important – enjoying time with friends and loved ones.
My solution is to bring back the nostalgia of Christmas. Older family members remember going to the woods to cut their Christmas tree, but younger family members most likely have not had that experience. Today, thanks to a growing network of Christmas Tree Farms in our state, younger generations can experience the fun of walking through a Christmas Tree Farm and selecting their own perfect tree.
In addition to offering you and your family the opportunity to walk the property and select the perfect tree, they also offer extras like photo opportunities, Christmas music and even a playground with equipment. Below is a list of Christmas Tree Farms in northwest Louisiana. Remember to call before you go to check on hours and tree selection.
