The LSU AgCenter Children’s Garden Series hosted by the East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners is a must do and any child. Enjoy hands-on activities with your children on Saturday mornings from 9 to 11am. The children’s garden series is held at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens located at 4560 Essen Lane Baton Rouge La 70809. Reservations are required in advance to Mrs. Angie Wall. Please email her at angwall@cox.net. We ask parents to stay with children during the event. Snacks are provided as well as take home crafts. Activities are age appropriate for 6 to 12 year olds with a $15 fee per child.

Sat April 28- Creepy Crawly Good and Bad - Having Fun with Insects - Millions of insects are invading our garden! But don't panic some are good some are bad. Let's investigate together.

Sat May 19- The World of Butterflies - They flutter they flitter, some even look like glitter. Learn how to attract butterflies to your garden.

Sat September 8- Plants Need Friends Too - Companion Planting - Plants do not get lonely but they can benefit from friends planted close by! Come learn about plants and their best friends.

Sat October 6- Berry-rific Plants 6 - All kinds of plants produce berries. Which are edible which are not? Let's garden and decorate with berries!
