MY PLATE WRAP RECIPE


Let's eat healthy. It can be simple using the MY PLATE as a guide. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides information about healthy eating for all Americans every 5 years. This is called the Dietary Guidelines.

This video will explain the MY PLATE and the 5 Groups of the MY PLATE.

Wrap It Your Way

Ingredients:

  • 1- 10inch Whole Wheat Tortilla
  • 1 TBSP Hummus – roasted tomato or roasted garlic
  • ½ cup Green Leaf Lettuce or other Greens
  • 1 oz Sliced Turkey
  • 1 Tbsp shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Directions:

  • Spread wheat tortilla with hummus, top with turkey, lettuce, and cheese. Roll up and enjoy.

Nutrition Analysis:

  • Each serving: 150 calories, 2.5g fat, 1.1g saturated fat, 15mg cholesterol, 548mg sodium, 22g carbs, 3g dietary fiber, 11g protein
