Every third full week of June, the entire state of Louisiana sends hundreds of 4-H’ers to LSU for a pre-college adventure of classes, tests, and fun with friends. During 4-H University, youth are introduced to aspects of life that college students experience on an everyday basis. Youth experience how college students live during the week by residing in campus dorms, eating at campus dining halls and facilities, and attending hands-on classes or participating in contests. Youth may also get the chance to tour different departments on the LSU campus. 4-H U gives youth the opportunity to meet 4-H’ers from throughout the state and compete for trips and prizes though a variety of project-area contests.

The dates for 4-H University this year are June 19-22, 2018.
