Through the LSU AgCenter Let's Eat for the Health of It program, Mrs. Poe's third graders at Crawford Elementary learned to build a healthful plate and the amount of physical activity needed each day. Diane Uzzle, Area Nutrition Agent, taught the MyPlate lesson and demonstrated the recipe for Five Food Groups Pasta Salad. Students played a game to identify foods in the five food groups and enjoyed a food tasting.
