Clean Sweep

St. John the Baptist Parish had its' annual Clean Sweep 2013 on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Music, food and refreshment began at 11:30 a.m. at Hwy 51 Park in appreciation of the volunteers that helped with Clean Sweep 2013.

It was a beautiful day not too hot and not too cold. The LSU AgCenter designated the area from the post office on Hwy 18 to Hwy 640 to clean.

We picked up at total of 9 bags of trash from the side of the road.

The group which consisted of Sarah Isom, LSU AgCenter Administrative Coordinator, Larry Sorapuru, Community Citizen of St. John the Baptist Parish and Cynthia Clifton, LSU AgCenter Interim Parish Chair and Area Nutrition Agent.

Trash was picked up from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. We laughed and joked and enjoyed the adventure of picking up trash on the side of the road in St. John the Baptist Parish.
