4-H members from 9 schools participated in the 2014 Bicycle Rodeo at Gramercy Park on April 5th. Students rode through obstacles on the rodeo course to test bicycle handing skills, tested their bicycle knowledge and conducted bike safety checks. The Bicycle Rodeo concluded with a round of awards and a Bike Hike, where members rode from Gramercy Park to Sonic.

The event was hosted by parish agents, Kenneth Guidry and Tara Roussel, along with members of the 4-H Jr. Leader IMPACT Club. Special thanks to the Gramercy Police and the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Department for escorting the group to Sonic and to 4-H parents and club leaders who assisted with traffic.
