Three 4-H'ers from St. Helena Parish participated in Southern University's 71st Jr. Livestock Show held Feb. 28- March 1, 2014. The livestock show was held at Edmunds Arena off Scenic Highway, Baton Rouge, La.

These 4-H'ers exhibited more than just the animals they showed; their pride and character building has been enhanced through this experience. The 4-H'ers were involved in the responsibility of working with the animals, providing care for the animals and getting the support from their family.

Youth are encouraged to participate in the livestock project as it has many opportunities to build good character that will carry them through adulthood.
