St. Helena Parish Youth Deliver Food Boxes to Families

During the 2010 holidays, as a Service Learning project, 4th graders from St. Helena Central Elementary School prepared 13 food boxes for families in St. Helena Parish families in need. Items were donated from businesses and individuals. Also, greens grown by the youth in their community garden were placed in the boxes.

Donations came from the following businesses and individuals to make this event possible: St. Helena Community Garden Club, Herman Hickerson, Leader; Darlington Grocery; MJR Funeral Home; National Driving Academy; Bo Rob Beauty Salon; Stefen Givens; Theodore McCray; John Holiday; Angela Myles, Y.E.S.; Byron Hurst, H.E.L.P.; Major Coleman; St. Helena Elementary 4-H Club; Herman Hickerson.

St. Helena 4-H thanks them all kindly.
