Sept. 20, 2011
All About Roses
– Make roses the glory of your garden. Learn about the different kinds of roses, hot to plant them and how to  manage disease and insect problems. Learn the tools and tricks of the trade for growing beautiful roses. Instructor: Mike Minnich, Louisiana Master Gardener.

Success with Growing Vegetables
– Learn the basics for growing healthy, quality vegetables in the spring and fall and provide a bountiful harvest through successful vegetable gardening right in your own backyard. Instructor: Rene’ Schmit, County Agent, LSU AgCenter.

Backyard Composting-Black & Gold - Enrich your landscape soils with the addition of fresh compost made in your own backyard. Learn the basics to create efficient composting, including the do’s and don’ts. Don’t waste the yard waste. Turn it into soil. Instructor: Rene’ Schmit, County Agent, LSU AgCenter.

Simple Irrigation for Landscape Beds
