At the November 2011 4-H Club meeting, 4-H leader Amber Guillot and the 4-H members at St. Rose Elementary School became members of the Junior Master Gardeners Club.  With instructions from Jonas Augustine, Junior Master Gardener Program Coordinator with Bayou Land RC&D, Mrs. Guillot's 4-H members constructed four 5 feet by 6 feet raised vegetable and flower beds.  Each 4-H member planted vegetables that included cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and also sweet pea flower plants. All are looking forward to harvesting their crop and especially the opportunity to taste the food they planted.
