Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of this year's Northeast Louisiana District Livestock Show in Delhi, Louisiana, were exhibitors, past and present, from twelve northeast district parishes.
The Northeast Louisiana District Livestock Show is really about the students who care for their animals on a daily basis and then exhibit their prized animals at the District Show. Some students go on to Gonzales to exhibit their animals in the State Show. These students receive tremendous benefits from their livestock projects, having learned responsibility and discipline through feeding and caring for animals and following accepted ethical and animal welfare standards.
Making yearly preparations for this show is a monumental effort on the part of many individuals. Under the supervision of the Livestock Show Manager, County Agent Keith Collins, who works with the Support Committee, the Board of Directors, with Milton Linder serving as President for the last 18 years, this year's show was another great success. Many thanks to these ladies and gentlemen for their diligence in seeking monetary support for the show and to the sponsors for their generosity. Special recognition is also given to the Mayor and Town of Delhi for their cooperation in making the show and parade a success and to the Richland Parish Sheriff for providing workers that assist in getting the show grounds ready.
We want to issue a very big "THANK YOU" to our sponsors, exhibitors, parents, volunteers and LSU AgCenter personnel for their support of the 75th Anniversary of the Northeast Louisiana District Livestock Show.
