Lafourche 4-H’ers at LOST Camp at Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center learned about outdoor skills and science on August 5-9 with a program aimed at getting seventh and eighth graders interested in science and the outdoors. This camp was intended to fulfill a demand for a longer camping experience and another opportunity for this age group. The Louisiana 4-H SET program seeks to improve science literacy in America’s youth through hands-on learning experiences. Eight 4-H’ers from Lafourche who participated at LOST Camp were Cameron Folse and Brodie Rink, Sixth Ward Middle; Cassie Faulk, Hollyn Guidroz and Caroline Savoie, Larose-Cut Off Middle School; Hannah Gisclair and Carly Loupe, Holy Rosary Elementary and Dexter Troxclair, St. Joseph Elementary.
