Iberville and West Baton Rouge Parishes joined forces this year to make a bigger and better 4-H Livestock program which has proven to be a positive decision. The livestock project is designed to be a tool which cultivates life skills in 4-H members while providing an opportunity for members to expand their knowledge of livestock production and management. Through the development of these life skills, members acquire character traits such as: leadership, respect, trustworthiness, responsibility, fairness, caring, honesty, integrity, self-esteem and citizenship. Members gain confidence while improving their critical thinking and reasoning skills which prove useful in future endeavors.
The show team included students from schools throughout Iberville and West Baton Rouge Parishes. We applaud our 2012 show team members which includes the following students: Albert Deville, Abigail, Courville, Alexis Hracek, Alexis Jofrion, Alice Cochran, Alyssa Regira, Ashlyn Pinsonat, Beau Navarre, Breann Keowen, Chance Hracek, Cheyenne Joffrion, Christen Diamond, Claire Martinez, Daniel Easterly, Danielle Blanchard, Elise Persick, Emma Sarradet, Emma King, Gabrielle Deslatte, Gracie Romero, Hunter Monismith, Ivon Smothers, Jaselyn Berthelot, Jennifer Windham, Jeremiah Molden, Kaitlyn Dugas, Katelyn Persick, Kyleigh Andre, Madalynn Barbay, Matt Leleux, Paul Easterly Jr., Racheal Sandidge, Railyn Reaux, Raylan Hracek and Ty Leleux.
