Parish 4-H members and Junior Leaders celebrated National 4-H Week October 2-8, 2011, in Evangeline Parish.  Posters and billboards were put up at various businesses around the parish to bring special recognition to the 4-H Club program in the parish and around the state.

Radio spots recorded by Evangeline Parish Junior Leaders promoting 4-H were broadcasted throughout the week on KVPI radio station.

The 4-H program is one of the most popular clubs in the nation with more than 175,000 members in Louisiana and 788 in Evangeline Parish alone. Besides school and community club activities, 4-H hosts numerous after-school learning opportunities, camps and conferences, trips, contests, awards and more. Four-H is a youth development program of the LSU AgCenter.

The Evangeline Parish 4-H Office offers many programs throughout the parish. If you are interested in participating in any parish programs or volunteering, please contact the Evangeline Parish 4-H Office at 337-363-5646.
