Richard Letlow accepts the presidency of the LCAAA from Terrence Marshall past president

East Baton Rouge Parish County Agent Terrence Marshall presided over the 68th Annual Meeting of the Louisiana County Agricultural Agents Annual Meeting/Professional Improvement Conference held recently in St. Francisville, Louisiana.

“Renewable Natural Resources of the Feliciana’s” was the theme of the conference, which focused on local agricultural resources. Education programs were presented by The Black Bear Conservatory, Entergy, Feral Hog Control, Forestry/Timber Leases, and Habitat Management. Dr. Gina Eubanks spoke to the group regarding the Southern University Ag Center, and Dr. Leodrey Williams memorialized Mr. Willie Sensley, who was one of the first African-American members of the LCAAA. A tour of Imahara’s Nursery and Angola Prison was combined with the conference.

Mr. Marshall has been employed for 37 years by the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service, doing 4-H club work and later moving into Agriculture & Natural Resources work. He is the first Southern University Ag Center Agent to serve the LCAAA as President.
