LSU AgCenter agents Jim McCann, Cynthia Pilcher and Casey Johnston, adult volunteer Randi Harris and seven youth from Caldwell parish traveled to the LSU campus in June 2011 to participate in 4-H University. 4-H'ers Keva Powell, Jade Pilcher, Bobbie Rae Butler, Ashton Pilcher, Trenton Harris, Adam Bruce and Cole Beckley competed in these contests during the three-day event: 4-H Has Talent, Fashion Revue Creative Choice, Child Development, Computer Simulation and All-terrain Vehicle Safety. Each 4-H'er did a great job representing Caldwell Parish in their contests. While at 4-H University, participants had the opportunity to experience life on the LSU campus as well as interact with 1,300 4-H'ers from across the state.

Congratulations to Bobbie Rae Butler for being elected to serve on the State 4-H Executive Board where she will represent the Northeast Region. We would also like to recognize Jade Pilcher for winning first alternate in the Fashion Revue Creative Choice contest and Keva Powell for winning a blue ribbon in the 4-H Has Talent contest.
