The four flags at the LSU AgCenter Office in Avoyelles Parish represent the United State, 4-H, Avoyelles Parish and Louisiana.

Every year the LSU AgCenter presents a Veteran's Program on Veteran's Day. For the 2011 program on Friday Nov. 11, 2011, the Louisiana National Guard and area Boy Scouts demonstrated the proper method for retiring a tattered U.S. flag. As part of the ceremondy observed by Avoyelles 4-H members and their parents, a local Boy Scout leader expalined the meaning of each of the colors of the flag.
