The Louisiana State University AgCenter, in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF), works to maintain a successful pesticide applicator certification program to ensure the competency of all certified pesticide applicators working within the state.

The LSU AgCenter Pesticide Safety Education Program works closely with specialists and various agencies and organizations to provide recertification to private and commercial pesticide applicators as well as information on pesticide education resources, integrated pest management in a variety of environments and information on pesticide safety awareness to applicators, regulators, extension staff, researchers, youth and the general public.
