The 12th Louisiana Plant Materials Conference is scheduled for Oct. 29 at the LSU AgCenter’s Hammond Research Station.

The event, co-sponsored by the LSU AgCenter and the Louisiana Nursery and Landscape Association, is an educational program for nursery and landscape professionals. The meeting will showcase new landscape and ornamental plants, according to Allen Owings, an LSU AgCenter horticulturist.

Yan Chen will have a presentation on ornamental peppers. And Allen Owings will speak on new liriope cultivars and give an overview of ornamental plant evaluations from the last couple of years.

The conference will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m. The conference registration fee is $25, and advance registration is required.
