Dubbed "Through the Garden Gate," the programs are short, mid-day educational sessions held the third Thursday of every month at the LSU AgCenter’s Burden Center in Baton Rouge.
They are designed to provide timely home garden information on a number of topics and are coordinated by the LSU AgCenter’s Department of Horticulture and its Burden Center in cooperation with LSU’s Hilltop Arboretum.
The first program for 2006 is scheduled for Jan. 19. LSU AgCenter horticulturist Dan Gill will be the featured speaker on "Winter Damage in the Landscape."
January’s program, and all subsequent programs for the year, will be held at the Ione E. Burden Conference Center at Burden Center located on Essen Lane in Baton Rouge. Registration will begin at noon, and the program will start at 12:10 p.m. and conclude by 1:00 pm.
