LSU AgCenter Offering Forestry Forums

The LSU AgCenter will offer forestry forums across the state over the next few weeks to help those in the industry keep up with the latest technological advances, tax issues and other vital information.

One of the major topics – particularly for those in the southern portion of the state – will be information on dealing with damage caused by this summer’s hurricanes.

The forums will be held Jan. 31 at Woodworth, Feb. 3 in Hammond and March 9 in Shreveport.

Topics for each of the forums are tailored to landowners and forestry professionals in that area. Some of the topics that will be covered during the forums include estate planning, tax issues, oil leases, timber recovery, forest management after a hurricane and the outlook for the industry. Professional speakers will address the issues at each forum.

Interested individuals can register, obtain programs and ask questions about the individual forums by contacting the LSU AgCenter foresters planning the educational programs:
