The annual Mid-South Greenhouse Growers' Conference is scheduled for June 8-10 at the Eagle Ridge Conference Center at Hinds Community College in Raymond, Miss.
The event, which is co-sponsored by the LSU AgCenter, Mississippi Cooperative Extension Service and Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, is an educational program designed for wholesale greenhouse growers, retailers and landscape professionals.
Topics to be covered at this year's conference include new color plants from Sakata Seed, PanAmerican Seed, S&G Flowers and Ball FloraPlant. Reviews of LSU AgCenter and Mississippi State University plant trials will be presented.
Other topics include developing marketing opportunities, vegetative annual propagation and production, plant growth regulators, soil fertilization and plant management and alternative crops.
The conference also includes a tour of the herbaceous plant evaluation trial garden at the Truck Crops Research Station in Crystal Springs, Miss.
The conference begins with a 1 p.m. general session on June 8 and concludes at noon June 10, and the registration fee is $75.
