Termites in Oak Tree

Daniel Gill  |  6/24/2015 8:36:02 PM

I have observed termites in the trunk on my oak tree. The diameter of the trunk is 6 feet and the tree is approximately 100 years old. What are my options?

Thank you.

I would recommend you contact two or three licensed arborists to come out and evaluate the tree, tell you your options and give you an estimate for the work. Termites in trees are generally best handled professionally, particularly for such a valuable tree.

Click here for information on selecting an arborist. Let me know if you have any questions about what they tell you.
