I treated my centipede lawn in the spring with Weed-Free-Zone, primarily to try to knock out Virginia buttonweed. It did a good job. We are now seeing chamberbitter weeds cropping up. Can I use a spray now or wait for cooler temperatures? What is good to use?

Atrazine works best on chamberbitters (but not Virginia buttonweed). Click here for information on chamberbitter control. During this hot time of the year, don’t spray the whole lawn. Just spot treat the patches of chamberbitter. Or, wait for highs in the 80s and treat the whole yard.
