USDA-FAS Borlaug Fellowship Program has brought scholars to LSU from Bangladesh, Colombia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guyana, India, Indonesia, Kosovo, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia, Tunisia, Uganda, Ukraine and Vietnam.
Cochran Fellow Training has been conducted on a diversity of themes, including horticultural crop production and postharvest care, food safety, cold chain management, agroprocessing, marketing, food security, and animal and poultry production.
Visiting Scholar Programs provides internally and externally funded visiting scholar programs for students and alumni of Kasetsart University in Thailand, the Escuela Agrícola Panamericana (Zamorano) in Honduras, the National Agriculture University of Honduras,Mendel University in the Czech Republic, and Slovak University of Agriculture in Slovakia. Many of these scholars later have been accepted to LSU College of Agriculture graduate programs.
