Ganelle Bullock Staff Outstanding Service Award
The Ganelle Bullock Staff Outstanding Service Award was established by Ms. Bullock, shortly before her death in service, to recognize the important role staff members play in furthering the mission of the LSU AgCenter. Presented annually, this award recognizes those staff members who consistently demonstrate the highest levels of performance and strive to bring to their work the qualities Ms. Bullock promoted throughout her career with the AgCenter: commitment and loyalty to the organization, service, effectiveness, efficiency, creativity, excellence, leadership, integrity, self-development, a positive outlook and care and concern for others.
Outstanding Service Award for Associates
The AgCenter Outstanding Service Award for Research and Extension Associates Award was established to recognize the important role associates play in furthering the mission of the LSU AgCenter. Without the assistance of associates in a wide range of positions, the AgCenter’s research and educational programs would not be possible. This award, presented annually, recognizes those associates who consistently demonstrate the highest levels of performance in their technical knowledge, quality of work, teamwork, efficiency and effectiveness, initiative, creativity, professionalism, loyalty and commitment, self-development and overall contributions to their assigned program (areas), their unit, and the mission of the AgCenter.
Charles E. Dunbar, Jr. Career Service Award for Classified Employees
The Dunbar Award is the highest honor classified state employees can receive for their service to the citizens of Louisiana. The Civil Service League bestows the award on local, state and municipal civil service employees who distinguish themselves through unselfish service to the citizens of Louisiana. Nominees are judged on commitment to the classified service, contributions toward workplace improvement, personal initiative, and volunteer community service.
Foundation Staff Outstanding Service Award
LSU Foundation Staff Outstanding Service Awards are open to all full-time classified and other nonacademic staff members. This is an excellent opportunity to recognize and reward outstanding contributions of deserving nonacademic employees. Winners will be recognized at a reception to be held December at Lod Cook on the Baton Rouge Campus.
Extension Faculty Awards honor faculty that have and continue to develop and implement excellent Extension programs with parish, regional, state and/or national impact. Presented annually, these awards direct public attention to the recorded performance of individuals or teams and contribute to the awareness and appreciation of the high level of service by the LSU AgCenter to the public. There are four awards:
Research Faculty Awards honor scientists who are very productive and deserving of recognition. These awards are presented annually to recognize and reward individuals and teams who have made outstanding contributions to the LSU AgCenter, their professions and agriculture. There are three awards:
Doyle Chambers Research Award: Through the LSU Foundation an award in honor of Vice Chancellor and Director Emeritus Chambers has been established. This $2,000 cash award is made annually to the scientist who, during his/her career at the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station has made the most meritorious contributions to agriculture. The recipient is selected based on career contributions to agriculture as documented by the nomination. Contributions which highlight the mission-oriented programs of the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station are given strong consideration.
Tipton Team Research Award: The Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station Tipton Team Research Award was established to recognize significant contributions to Louisiana Agriculture by a team of at least three scientists who have been participants in exceptional collaborative research efforts. The recipients are chosen based upon their contributions as a team during the most recent five years. Collaborative efforts include intra- and inter- unit research activities, as well as joint efforts with other universities, government agencies, and the private sector. Nominations should stress accomplishments resulting from the team's research accomplishments that would not have been possible by the scientists acting alone. The award is supported through an endowment honoring Vice-Chancellor and Director Emeritus Kenneth W. Tipton.
During faculty evaluations each year, it is evident that in many units, there are individuals that are very productive and deserving of recognition. The College of Agriculture faculty teaching awards will be presented at Annual Conference.These awards recognize outstanding teaching by faculty at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Teachers are central to education.They serve as models, motivators, and mentors – the catalysts of the learning process.Moreover, teachers are agents for developing, replicating, and exchanging effective instructional materials and methods.For these reasons, education can reflect excellence only when teachers are adequately prepared, highly motivated, and appropriately recognized and rewarded.The LSU College of Agriculture Teaching Awards program recognizes and honors outstanding teachers who have excelled at teaching in the College of Agriculture.
Eligibility:All nominees must be full-time employees of the LSU and A&M College of Agriculture and/or the LSU Agricultural Center and must have responsibility for instruction in the College of Agriculture.
Sedberry Award – Outstanding Graduate Teacher.All ranks of faculty are eligible.Previous recipients of this award are not eligible to be nominated until five years have elapsed from the day the award was received.

Tiger Athletic Foundation Outstanding Teacher Award - Two awards are given.One is limited to the faculty rank of Assistant Professor; for the second award, all ranks of faculty are eligible.Previous Tiger Athletic Foundation Award Recipients are ineligible for this award.
National Association of Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Teaching Award Certificate - Despite the name, this is a College of Agriculture Award.All ranks of faculty are eligible and consideration is given for undergraduate and graduate teaching activities.Previous recipients of this award are not eligible for nomination until five years have lapsed from the day the award was received.

List of courses taught.
Summary of SPOT evaluation scores.This section may also include explanatory comments, as well as information on written comments provided by students on SPOT evaluations.
Description of special qualities and innovations that make the nominee especially qualified for this award and explanation of how the nominee has excelled in the performance of teaching duties.
Description of teaching and advising contributions outside the classroom, published teaching materials (laboratory manuals, audio visual aids, software, etc.), special recognition or awards received, membership and service in professional and honorary societies, number of recent professional publications with graduate students, theses and dissertations directed (title, date), other accomplishments.
Nomination materials may include two letters of support.It is recommended that one be internal and one external.
