Challenging (Challenge Camp Photos)

(April 2004) Young people from across Louisiana participate in LSU AgCenter Challenge Camps and learn about teamwork, leadership and a variety of other valuable skills. At a recent camp for 4-H'ers from northeastern Louisiana, the youngsters were challenged to make good decisions now by Jean Halsell of West Monroe, shown in photo at left, who is the mother of NASA astronaut Jim Halsell. Another group from South Louisiana learned that canoeing definitely involves teamwork. And still more youngsters welcomed troops home from Iraq during a break from their weekend activities.
