| | The LSU AgCenter’s AgMagic at its Parker Coliseum in Baton Rouge April 12-22 delighted approximately 9,000 schoolchildren and adults with the magic of agriculture. Visitors to the event had the chance to learn about the wonders of animals and plants and the vital role agriculture plays in our everyday lives. In specialized exhibit areas, such as “Plant Products,” visitors were treated to hands-on experiences with growing cotton, sugarcane and rice. |

| | Participants visiting “Farming the Waters” could learn how farming reaches beyond the rich soil of our state and also includes our fresh and salt waters, which help make Louisiana a leader in the seafood industry. AgMagic interactive exhibit areas also included “Animals Produce for You,” which included a variety of farm animals, “World of Wonder,” a replica of a forest, and the new Body Walk, a walk-through representation of the human body. Major sponsors for this year’s event included The Advocate’s Educational Services, WJBO and 96.1 The River. |
