Although this year's LSU AgCenter Livestock Show was held at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, participants were given opportunities to maintain a connection to the LSU campus in Baton Rouge. Among those activities were chances to attend an LSU men's basketball game the first weekend of the show and a women's basketball game mid-week.

During the women's game, one 4-H'er sang the national anthem, a group of youngsters were presented with souvenir basketballs by the team, livestock show winners were congratulated and information about the 4-H program was shown to all those in attendance.
