The March issue of In A Nutshell provides information on pecan phylloxera and early-season scab, including damage, occurrence and pesticides suggested for use. An insecticide chart, which gives ratings on the likely effectiveness of particular insecticides on different insects, is also included in the newsletter, as well as details on an upcoming pecan clinic and on how to access insect fact sheets and spray guides available on the Pecan Research-Extension Station website.
