(Audio 04/11/11) Louisiana rice farmers found themselves in their fields and planting early this year. Good weather conditions helped them get a jump start on their crop. In south Louisiana, most of the crop is planted, and LSU AgCenter rice specialist Dr. Johnny Saichuk says planting is getting under way in the central and northern rice-growing areas of the state.
