Director's Welcome to Dean Lee Research Station

Picture of Director
Dr. John Barnett

The Dean Lee Research station has a long history of service to the citizens of Central Louisiana. Located in a highly productive and diversified area of Louisiana, the station devotes its resources to conducting Ag research in the areas of: management systems for cotton, soybeans, corn, weed control, beef cattle and performance testing of livestock. Scientists located at the Dean Lee facility have a combined expertise of more than 100 years of experience in crops and livestock. Research projects are comprehensive and often have joint collaboration with other branch stations and departments located on the main campus in Baton Rouge.

The LSU AgCenter’s Dean Lee Research station is always open to the public during business hours, and we extend to you our welcome to come visit anytime you are in the area.

Sincerely,

John W. Barnett, Ph.D.
