How to Find the Coastal Area Research Station

The Coastal Area Research Station (formerly named the Citrus Research Station) is located on Highway 23 in Plaquemines Parish. When approaching from the Northwest (from Belle Chasse), go approximately 12 miles past the Conoco-Phillips refinery. There is a sign on the right side of the highway pointing to the Woodland Plantation Bed and Breakfast. The station is approximately a half mile farther. The entrance is on the left, near the middle of a long chain-link fence.

From the Southeast, the station is approximately a mile beyond the ferry at West Pointe A La Hache.
