Differences Between Red Swamp Crawfish and White River Crawfish

In Louisiana, two main species of crawfish are raised for commercial production. These species are the red swamp crawfish (Procambarus clarkii) and the white river crawfish (Procambarus zonangulus). Both species are native to Louisiana, but they exhibit several physiological and reproductive differences.
