The Northeast Region is a huge agricultural section of the state of Louisiana with a great diversity  of row crop and livestock production.

The region comprises 12 parishes and is also home to three of the premiere research stations in the LSU AgCenter. The stations are staffed with outstanding research scientists. The county agents housed in each of the parishes work closely with our clientele to ensure that the most recent research-based information is delivered in a timely manner.

The research and extension programs in the Northeast Region provide valuable information for growers, consultants, and agribusiness personnel throughout the region, state, and nation.

We look forward to using this newsletter to provide you timely updates about our ongoing research, field days, and extension activities throughout the year.

Anytime you are near one of our research stations or parish offices, please do not hesitate to stop and visit with our personnel and ask about any areas of out programs. Always remember, the LSU AgCenter belongs to you, our clientele.

Our mission is to provide the best possible solutions and answers to your questions. Please let us know anytime we can be of assistance to you.

Sincerely,

John W. Barnett, Ph.D.
Professor and Regional Director Northeast Region, LSU AgCenter
