End-of-the-year trips are always anticipated with anxious excitement, but the annual Madison Parish 4-H Blue Bayou trip takes fun to a breathtaking super-dimension.

Nineteen Madison Parish teens joined about 1,900 other youth, adult leaders and volunteers from across Louisiana for the annual 4-H University competition held on the LSU Baton Rouge campus June 23-26.

The eighth annual 4-H Day at the Capitol brought together more than 2,500 4-H youth, parents and community volunteers with Louisiana legislators on the steps of the state Capitol to celebrate 4-H in Louisiana. The steps and grounds were blanketed in a sea of green and white for the traditional first Wednesday in June event.
