The Evangeline Parish Sweet Potato Cookery Contest will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2010, at the Ville Platte Civic Center.

Application for Evangeline Parish Outstanding 4-H'er must be turned in to the 4-H Office no later than December 18, 2009.

The 2009 4-H “Cotton Pickin Pet Show” was held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Ville Platte Civic Center. There were more than 120 pets entered in the show this year. Congratulations to all 4-H club members participating in this annual event.

Fifty-eight dishes were entered in the Ground Beef and Seafood Contests which are sponsored by Jack Miller's Food Products, the Louisiana Cotton Festival Association and the Evangeline Parish 4-H Foundation.
