Winn Parish Cattleman's Association
The Winn Parish Cattleman's Association meets regularly to discuss topics of interest to area livestock producers. Guest speakers include agents with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), the Farm Service Agency, Louisiana Tech University, LSU AgCenter, and area producers.
Topics of discussion will include pasture management and development, weed control, working with cattle, breed selection, nutrition/diet/health of animals and other educational information.
Meetings will begin at 6:00 pm at Mama D's Restaurant. The meeting dates for 2010 are February 11th, April 8th, May - Fieldday-TBA, June 10th, August 12th, October 14th and December 11th - Christmas Party.
