Arbor Day-Cold Weather Damage-Vegetable Transplants
The third week in January is observed as Arbor Day. Consider planting trees that will add some color to your landscape. The recent cold weather has taken it's toll on the citrus trees. Don't be so eager to prune back that cold damage yet. Also, now is the time to begin seeding your vegetables for spring planting.

You can begin to treat your lawn now to control the five most common weeds found in our area: Burweed/spurweed; Florida Betony/Ratlesnake Weed; Virginia Buttonweed; chamber bitter and Dollarweed.
