The Washington Parish Homemakers Council's Easter Service Project

Homemakers making boxes
Easter boxes
Members of the Washington Parish Homemakers Council have been busy preparing more than 300 boxes of tissue for their service project this Easter. The Washington Parish Homemakers Council has decorated each box with a cheery Easter image and will deliver the boxes of tissue to area nursing homes. Residents of Heritage Manor and Good Samaritan nursing homes in Franklinton and the Rest Haven Living Center in Bogalusa will be the recipiants of the decorated boxes. The council members have spent countless hours on this service project and dedicate even more to other service projects each year.  For more information on the Washington Parish Homemakers Council, contact Mary Evelyn Mc Daniel at (985) 839-2626,  or for more information on Family Resource Management Programs from the LSU AgCenter, contact Valerie Vincent at (985) 839-7855.
